It seems almost unfair that such a small part of the world population could vote in the US elections. Luckily, the Americans came through.
Sweden had a very bad prime minister for quite a while, up until the last election. But who cares if Sweden’s prime minister is an idiot other than the Swedes? No one. The prime minister of Sweden has no power to inflict suffering on others. The president of the United States, however, can and might. I have high hopes that the coming one knows and understands the responsibility he carries.

Yeah, I silently raised a glass of red wine in cheers as a means of applauding a choice well made by my american friends. it would have been nice to be able to vote in this one.

What is so wonderful about Obama is that he is a TCK like so many of us. In addition he has several TCKs advising him and in his cabinet, Valerie Jarrett, Tim Geithner, James Jones, and Bill Richardson. The world view they bring with them to this administration is bound to make a huge difference. It can only be good.

For the first time EVER, I am okay with being an American and with living in America.
