I haven’t posted in a long time. My husband asked me about it a while back, and my answer was that nothing much had happened in my life that related to being a third culture kid. Adult third culture kid now, I suppose. Anyway, he pointed out that we had gone through the process of [...]

Yesterday, I went very reluctantly to the Anti-Prop 8 rally in California where I live. I went with the attitude that “since no-one supports my right to hook up ever with anyone, and since I strongly oppose any kind of marriage at all, what am I doing here!” A very extreme generalization but indeed [...]

Well, not exactly, it’s just that the Swiss and Americans called him a German, the Germans called him a Jew, and the French (in their usual style) favorably styled him a “Citoyen du Monde”. Not to mention that he is accused of stealing his Serbian ex-wife’s research. And actually worked for the Swiss Patent Office [...]

Question, has anybody noticed a default or underlying trait or thread among TCKs that may be disastrous? A combo of hypersensitivity, relative tactlessness and internalization of all phenomena. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

For the first time today, I realized it! I keep thinking that after all these years I just really want to get laid! But it dawned on me! I am just angry, not even interested anymore. Actually, I feel liberated. After all, who wants or needs to do someone who doesn’t even get it! Sorry [...]

The TCK journey is not an easy path. Much of the posts by this blogger will be hard knocks with the perspective of experience, clouded by the very existential issues of identity, sexuality, belongingness and survival in a material world. I will be open to answer any questions within the context of experience. They may [...]

So today is election day in the United States. Today it will be decided what kind of a direction the world will take. I wish I could vote, but I can’t, so like most of the world I can only wait and hope. (I did, however, participate in ousting the social democratic party of Sweden [...]

I’m at a conference in Seatte, WA, US. Because I need to work on my presesntation, here’s some recently discovered travel advice:
If you call the Westin Seattle and they’re full, they refer you to another nearby Starwood property called Sixth Avenue Inn. Do not book a room there. It is the nastiest, dirtiest hotel I’ve [...]
